Literatura Zombie: Finaliza la Feria del libro internacional de Frankfurt siendo todo un éxito

La 68 edición de la Feria del Libro de Frankfurt, la cita cumbre del mundo editorial, concluyó este domingo (23.10.2016) en la ciudad del Meno, con un ligero aumento de visitantes en comparación con el año pasado. Cerca de 278.000 personas, según datos provisionales, se acercaron al mayor escaparate literario del mundo, en el que durante cinco días se dieron cita cerca de 7.000 expositores provenientes de unos 100 países.

La cifra de profesionales que llegó a la ciudad se situó en unos 142.300, lo que supuso un incremento del 1,3 por ciento en relación a 2015. En lo que al público se refiere, los organizadores contabilizaron un total de 135.723, un plus de un 0,3 por ciento en comparación con la edición anterior. Los invitados de honor, Holanda y Flandes, ceden ahora el testigo a Francia, país que en 2017 desembarcará en el corazón de Europa haciendo gala de su potencial innovador y con la intención de ahondar en una mayor cooperación con Alemania.

La 68 edición de la Feria del Libro de Frankfurt se reivindicó una vez más como un espacio de compromiso con la libertad de expresión. Muestra de ello fueron las repetidas críticas al régimen turco por la persecución masiva de la cultura y el periodismo y la presentación de "El partenón de libros", una instalación de la artista argentina Marta Minujín que será el proyecto estrella del festival Documenta 14 de Kassel y que constituye un símbolo contra la censura.

De cara al año que viene se avecinan pocos cambios. La elección de Francia como país invitado pone de manifiesto que, de nuevo, el mayor evento editorial del mundo mantendrá su carácter europeo. Unos 70 escritores franceses llegarán a Alemania en la edición número 69 de la feria para dar muestra del "savoir faire" de la literatura gala, la que cuenta con más premios Nobel de Literatura, un total de 15.

Además, desde enero, con ayuda de sus institutos culturales, pondrá en marcha una programación cultural que incluirá la celebración de eventos literarios, musicales y artísticos en diferentes ciudades del país centroeuropeo. (dpa)

Marina Espasa (Barcelona, 1973) és filòloga i treballa, quan pot, de guionista, periodista cultural i traductora.
